Royal Sahel Hotel
Well-reviewed 4-star essentials for matchday
About this hotel
Royal Sahel earns its high rating on the basics: free parking that takes the stress out of driving to Bab Ezzouar, and free breakfast that's ready early enough to matter on a matchday morning. There's nothing showy about the offer here, no pool or spa to distract from the point of the trip, just a clean 4-star room, a car park, and a breakfast table, which is precisely what a lot of fans travelling in for a single fixture actually need. For a supporter weighing up a dozen similar-looking hotels across the city, the guest scores here are the differentiator: this is a property that consistently delivers on what it promises rather than overselling amenities it doesn't have.
- Free parking
- Free breakfast
- High guest rating
- 4-star rooms
Our take
A strong pick for fans who want free parking and breakfast handled well without paying for facilities they won't use on a short trip. It's a drive to Bab Ezzouar rather than a walk, so factor that into your matchday morning, and it suits a no-frills one or two night stay better than a week-long trip.
- Check in the parking spot as soon as you arrive, don't leave it until matchday
- Eat breakfast early if you've got a lunchtime kickoff at Bab Ezzouar
- Keep this on the shortlist if you want reliability over amenities
Why we love it
- Free parking, no extra charge
- Free breakfast served early
- Consistently high guest ratings
- No-frills, does-what-it-says rooms
Why guests love itWe needed one night before the match and this covered it without any fuss, parking was free and simple, breakfast was ready in time for an early start, and the room was exactly what the rating promised. Nothing about the stay stood out as special, but nothing went wrong either, which for a quick in-and-out matchday trip is genuinely all we wanted.
