Home @ 42 Arkles Lane
Two minutes from Arkles, eight from the ground
About this hotel
Home @ 42 Arkles Lane sits right on the street that gives The World Famous Arkles its name, two minutes on foot from the pub itself and eight minutes from Anfield, a combination built for a proper pre-match routine: settle in at Arkles with the rest of the away and home crowd, then walk the rest of the way once the pub starts to thin out before kickoff. The perfect guest review score suggests the stay lives up to its setting, even without an extensive documented amenities list. This is a location built around the pub-and-walk routine that defines matchday for plenty of regulars on this stretch, rather than an on-site bar or restaurant of its own.
- Two minutes to Arkles
- Eight minutes to Anfield
- Perfect reviews
Our take
This is a strong choice for fans who see the pre-match pub as part of the day, not just a stop on the way, thanks to the two-minute walk to Arkles. It suits supporters happy to eat and drink out rather than stay in. Anyone wanting an on-site restaurant should look at a fuller-service property nearby.
- Get to Arkles at least ninety minutes before kickoff on a big fixture
- Walk to Anfield once the pub crowd starts moving, not before
- Book ahead, the perfect review score means this fills up early
Why we love it
- Two minutes from The World Famous Arkles
- Perfect guest review score
- Eight-minute walk to Anfield
- Built for a pub-first matchday
Why guests love itBeing two minutes from Arkles meant our matchday routine basically wrote itself, a pint with the regulars before joining the walk to the ground eight minutes later. The reviews had promised a stay that matched the setting, and it held up, simple as the room itself was. For anyone who treats the pre-match pub as essential, this location does the job perfectly.
