Our take
I would pick Fairfield Inn Ann Arbor for a straightforward game weekend rather than a hotel stay to remember. The rooms are plain, but breakfast is included, parking is free and the indoor pool keeps children busy before or after the match. Guests rate it well for what it is. Plan how you will get to Michigan Stadium on game day, as traffic around the ground builds early.
- Take advantage of the free parking if you're driving to the game, it saves time and money
- Plan for a short taxi ride to the University of Michigan for easy stadium access
- Enjoy the complimentary breakfast to fuel up before a busy match day

Why guests love itFairfield Inn Ann Arbor is a 2-star hotel with down-to-earth rooms, an indoor pool and breakfast included. Parking is free, which matters on a football weekend when spaces near Michigan Stadium are hard to find, and transport links help with the trip to the game and around Ann Arbor. The indoor pool gives children something to do whatever the weather. Guests rate it 8.2 across more than 500 reviews, and I would choose it as a simple, practical base.
