Sheraton Charlotte Hotel
Two pools near Discovery Place Science
About this hotel
This hotel sits a minute from the corner of McDowell Street and Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, with Discovery Place Science a short taxi ride away for anyone traveling with family before a fixture. Two pools and a gym give guests plenty to do beyond the game itself, and the on-site bar and restaurant mean meals don't need to be planned around the busiest pre-match blocks elsewhere in Uptown. Room service adds a further layer of convenience for anyone who'd rather stay in before an evening kickoff. Little Village Grill, six minutes away, is a solid option for a meal further afield. A taxi to Charlotte Douglas International Airport takes about eighteen minutes.

Our take
This suits fans wanting a full-service hotel experience, with two pools and room service adding real comfort for a multi-night stay. It works particularly well for families combining a Discovery Place Science visit with a fixture, though supporters chasing the shortest possible walk to the stadium gates should compare it against hotels closer to the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
- Visit Discovery Place Science by taxi on the day before a fixture if you're traveling with family.
- Use room service on the evening before an early kickoff rather than heading out for a late meal.
- Try Little Village Grill, six minutes away, for something different from the hotel's own restaurant.

Why guests love itThe two pools made this an easy choice for a family weekend, giving the kids something to do on the day before the game while the adults planned the trip toward the stadium. Discovery Place Science being a short ride away filled the daytime nicely, and room service came in handy on the night before an early kickoff. A comfortable, full-service option rather than a minimal matchday room.
