Dalian University of Technology Dut International Convention Center
Quiet campus rooms with breakfast and space to spread out
About this hotel
Campus convention hotels are an underrated category for anyone travelling to a fixture, and this one shows why. Rooms are larger and quieter than a commercial three-star at the same rate, the grounds are green and calm, and breakfast is included in a district where the alternative is a long walk. It sits on the Dalian University of Technology site rather than beside Dalian Sports Center itself, so the journey to Ganjingzi is a real trip that needs planning against the metro timetable. The trade-off is atmosphere: this is a working conference venue, not a place with a bar that shows the match, and evenings on site are quiet by design. Fans staying here get space, calm and an early breakfast, which suits anyone travelling with kit, working around a fixture, or simply wanting a proper night's sleep before an early start west.
- Campus setting
- Spacious rooms
- Breakfast included
- Very quiet nights
Our take
Best for fans who value quiet and floor space over nightlife, and for anyone in Dalian for a conference who has picked up a ticket. The included breakfast and the campus setting make for an unusually restful pre-match night. Supporters who want a bar, a crowd and a walk to dinner will find this flat and institutional, and should take one of the Zhongshan Square options instead.
- Take the breakfast early, the campus is quiet and nothing nearby opens on a weekend morning
- Plan the metro route west the night before, this address is not one taxi drivers assume
- Ask for a room away from the conference wing if an event is running during your stay
Why we love it
- Large, quiet rooms at a straightforward three-star rate
- Green campus setting away from the traffic
- Breakfast included in a district with few options
- Genuinely restful the night before an early start
